TCS Digital Interview Experience 1

About the Interviewee

Name: Rajesh Kumar

Degree: B.Tech in Computer Science

Profile

Rajesh is a tech-savvy individual with a strong passion for coding and problem-solving. He has interned at a startup where he gained hands-on experience in Python and machine learning.

Round 1: Advanced Reasoning and Quantitative Assessment

I found the questions in this round to be challenging but manageable. However, I did struggle with a couple of logical reasoning questions that took up more time than I had anticipated, making me rush through the last few questions.

Round 2: Advanced Coding

In this round, I was given a problem related to data structures. Although I was familiar with the concept, I initially struggled with optimizing my solution. After a few failed attempts, I finally got it right, but it was a nerve-wracking experience.

Round 3: Technical Interview

The panel asked me questions related to machine learning and Python. I was well-prepared for most questions but stumbled a bit when asked about the specifics of a machine learning algorithm I hadn’t reviewed recently.

Round 4: HR Interview

The HR panel and I had a great conversation about my long-term career goals and how I would fit within the company culture. However, I felt I could have articulated my answers more clearly when discussing my weaknesses and strengths.

About the Interviewee

Name: Abhinav Shinde

Degree: MCA

Profile

Priya is an enthusiastic coder with a special interest in web development. She has completed a couple of freelance projects and is an active contributor to open-source projects.

Round 1: Advanced Reasoning and Quantitative Assessment

I found the reasoning questions to be particularly tough and realized halfway through that I had misinterpreted a couple of them. I had to go back and redo those, which cost me valuable time.

Round 2: Advanced Coding

I was tasked with solving a complex algorithmic problem. At first, it seemed daunting, and I spent too much time overthinking it. I had to calm myself down and refocus to eventually solve the problem.

Round 3: Technical Interview

The technical panel focused on my web development skills. They asked me to explain one of my freelance projects in detail. I got a bit nervous and fumbled through my explanation initially but managed to regain my composure.

Round 4: HR Interview

The HR interview felt more like a casual conversation, but I was caught off guard when asked about how I handle conflict in a team setting. I hesitated a bit but tried to provide a thoughtful answer.
