Accenture Interview Experience 1
About the Interviewee
Name: Akshay Verma
Degree: B.Tech in Computer Science
Profile
Akshay is a fresh graduate passionate about programming and new technologies. His profile included proficiency in Java, C++, and strong problem-solving skills. He applied for a Query Management Associate position.
Round 1: Cognitive and Technical Assessment
The questions in this round tested my English vocabulary and critical thinking skills. There were puzzles, syllogisms, and analogies. I was stumped by a particular abstract reasoning question and couldn’t answer it.
I focused on the rest and managed to clear this round, learning the importance of moving on from challenging questions.
Round 2: Coding Round
This round had 2 coding problems. One was a data structure-based problem that I found quite complex. I was able to crack the logic but struggled with the implementation part.
The other question was related to string manipulation, which I solved successfully. Though I couldn’t complete one question, I believe my approach and partial solution helped me pass this round.
Round 3: Communicative Assessment
In this round, I had to listen to an audio clip and answer questions related to it. I also had to narrate a story based on a given picture. Though I was confident in my speaking abilities, the listening part was a bit challenging, and I made a few mistakes.
However, I think my overall communication skills were strong enough to make up for those errors.
Round 4: Interview Technical/HR
I was asked about my final year project, OOPS concepts, and SQL queries. I found the queries part a bit tough and couldn’t answer one question correctly.
The HR questions were about teamwork, leadership, and handling stress. The interviewers were understanding, and my overall accenture interview experience was positive.
Accenture Interview Experience 2
About the Interviewee
Name: Shruti Kapoor
Degree: Masters in Computer Applications (MCA)
Profile
Shruti is a focused and ambitious individual with a strong academic background. She’s passionate about coding and has worked on several personal projects involving web development. She applied for an Application Development Associate position.
Round 1: Cognitive and Technical Assessment
This round included questions related to synonyms, antonyms, and reading comprehension in the verbal section. The abstract reasoning had pattern recognition problems, where I faltered in a couple of them.
Despite those mistakes, I managed to clear this round by performing well in critical reasoning and problem-solving.
Round 2: Coding Round
The coding round had two algorithm-based questions. I successfully solved the first one, but the second one, related to dynamic programming, was more challenging.
I tried my best but couldn’t arrive at the optimal solution. However, I did explain my approach to the interviewer, which I think helped.
Round 3: Communicative Assessment
In this round, I was given a topic to speak about for a minute and also had to write a short essay. I felt confident in this round but did struggle with time management in the writing part.
My experience was becoming more intense with each round.
Round 4: Interview Technical/HR
The technical questions included queries about data structures, DBMS, and some coding problems. I was caught off guard by a complex query related to joins in SQL and could not answer it correctly. HR questions were related to motivation, failure, and aspirations.
Despite my technical mistake, I felt a connection with the interviewers, and my overall experience was enriching.
